Tocotrienols are members of the vitamin E family. An essential nutrient for the body, vitamin E is made up of four tocopherols (alpha, beta, gamma, delta) and four tocotrienols(alpha, beta, gamma, delta). Although the structure of the tocopherols and tocotrienols are very similar, there are significant differences between them in some biological functions. With the deepending of the study, some scientists found in many reaction system tocotrienols have superior physiological functions than tocopherols.
